| Hans Frank was born on May 3, 1900, in Karlsruhe, Germany. He was executed on October 16, 1946.
Frank joined the German Army in 1917. After the first World War, Frank was a member of the Epp Freikorps and studied of law at the universities of Kiel and Munich.
In 1923, Frank joined the National Socialist German Workers Party (NSDAP) and participated in the Beer Hall Putsch.
In the late 1920s, Frank defended several Nazi party members in legal cases, including Hitler's many libel cases and the 1930 Leipzig rial of three Nazi army officers.
In 1930, Frank was elected to the Reichstag.
In 1933, Hitler appointed Frank as Minister of Justice in Bavaria. In 1939, Frank was appointed as the governor general of occupied Poland.
Frank was captured in May 1945 and was accused of crimes against humanity at the Nuremberg War Crimes Trial. During the trail, Franks stated "I myself have never installed an extermination camp for Jews, or promoted the existence of such camps; but if Adolf Hitler personally has laid that dreadful responsibility on his people, then it is mine too, for we have fought against Jewry for years; and we have indulged in the most horrible utterances."
