| Alfred Rosenberg was born on January 12, 1893, in Reval, Estonia.
Rosenberg emigrated to Germany in 1918 to avoid being arrested for giving counter-revolutionary speeches.
Rosenberg joined the German Labour Party in January 1919 and became editor of the Nazi party newsletter, Völkischer Beobachter in 1921. In 1929, he founded the Militant League for German Culture.
Rosenburg was elected to the Reichstag in 1930. In the same year, he published his book The Myth of the Twentieth Century (Der Mythus des 20. Jahrhunderts).
Following the invasion of the Soviet Union, Rosenberg was appointed the head of the Reich Ministry for the Occupied Eastern Territories.
Rosenberg was captured by Allied troops at the end of the war. He was tried at Nuremberg and found guilty of conspiracy to commit crimes against peace; planning, initiating and waging wars of aggression; war-crimes; crimes against humanity.
